Outfits I Wore In Ferbruary | Collab With Holly

Today I'm collaborating with the lovely Holly, from JustAnotherBritishGirl. Go over and take a look at her gorgeous blog - it's full of lots of fun and interesting posts. Click here to see her version of this post and to see her favourite February outfits.

I'm going to start off with my grey jumper from Primark. I like to wear this with skinny jeans. I love it so much because it's really warm and cosy - perfect for chilly days in February.

Jumper (Similar)
Jeans

Next up, checked shirts. This one's from Newlook and I've been throwing it on over skinny jeans often throughout February. This one is really soft and comfy, and I really like the colours. I like the way you can use them to layer up over another top too, by wearing it open.

Checked Shirt
(Similar - it's now unavailable, but it's worth taking a look at the others, because they are currently in the sale!)

Jeans (same as above).
I really like wearing leggings with loose t-shirts and have been during Febraury. I really like the colour of this one, and I like wearing a necklace with it because the silver shows up really well with this colour and it brightens it up a bit. It's really soft and comfy, too.

Being Happy | Miranda Sings Award

Being happy with who you are is so important.

This post is a tag - the Miranda Sings Award.

The idea is that you think of things that you love about yourself. I really like this tag because I think that it's important to think positively sometimes -  it's a really special tag to be spreading round the internet.

Thank you very much to Aqua (from onmywayaqua.blogspot.co.uk) for nominating me.

The rules of this tag are:
  • Announce your win with a post and link the blogger who nominated you.
  • Include the featured image on your blog post.
  • Nominate some bloggers that you'd like to have a go at this tag.
  • List 7 things you love about yourself (This can be about your appearance, your personality, your achievements, etc.)
  • Don’t use negative connotation. Be confident in yourself!

I'd really like it if everybody reading could join in and list seven things that they love about themselves. I'll start:

1.) I have lovely friends, both online and offline.

2.) I'm generally quite a happy person, forever getting the giggles.

3.) I'm a good listener and like to help people.

4.) I'm really creative.

5.) I have a big imagination.

6.) I smile a lot.

7.) I love to read and write.

I'd like to tag:

Megan

Holly

Daisy

Miriam

Hannah Porter

Hannah Rae

Winter Nail Polish | Collab With Girl Abroad

This post is a collaboration with the lovely Alice, from Girl Abroad. She's got such a nice blog with lots of great posts to read - head over there and say hello!

We've decided to talk you through some of our favourite nail polishes for winter. I love to paint my nails, experiment with different shades and get creative with nail art. I like the way that, in Winter, you can mix it up a bit with gold glitter or sparkly top coats. To take a look at Alice's favourite nail polishes, click here, to view her version.

First off, I really like this dark pink shade by L.A. COLORS. It's really nice to use as a base coat (with a glittery top coat over it!) or just to leave on it's own, because it comes out quite dark on your nails. I like this so much because it comes out really smooth and is very fast-drying. Click here to view this polish and the other nail varnishes in the Color Craze collection.

The next one that I'd like to mention is this cream nail varnish. This one is so nice because, with just one coat, it gives you a pale tint - but, with a couple of coats, you get a really nice cream. I like to leave this on plain, but you could build up the coats and add some nail art designs if you'd like to.
I think I've mention this one in a post before, but I really like this Rimmel sparkly top coat. I think this is one of the first ones I got - as you can probably tell, because it's almost empty! It's just really nice and extremely glittery, so perfect to use to brighten up your nails. This is available to buy here, or, if you'd like to go over and browse on the Rimmel London website, click here.

Another way to add some sparkle is to use nail art pens. I've chosen this gold one - it's really fun to use to add in golden stripes or dots. I think this came from a set, so I wasn't able to find the same one, but a similar one is here

Similarly, I like to use glitter on top of my nail varnish. Just sprinkle it over (while it is still wet) and then coat your nails with a clear top coat.

What's your favourite way to do your nails?

Kitty Photo Shoot

Meet Primrose (Prim for short), our three-year-old pussy cat.

She likes to play - either with cat toys, or chasing her two feline brothers. Her favourite toy is her pink flamingo on a string, which she's had since we got her. When she's running about and having fun, she makes little, happy chirping sounds as she goes.

Moving on to the food front, she loves her Felix. She has a sachet at tea time - although she's usually begging for it a couple of hours before hand! She likes Dreamies as treats.

Zoella Beauty|Candy Cream Softening Body Lotion

'Treat yourself to this deliciously fresh, fruity cream for a soft and silky body.'
~ Superdrug

Recently, I got the Zoella Candy Cream body lotion (and also the guinea pig case - how cute?!). First of all, I'd like to mention the packaging. It's really pretty. I love the way that it's slightly see-through so you can see the tiny pink dots inside. In the centre, is the title and Zoella logo surrounded by a pretty lace-like pattern. The tube is covered in yellow polka dots, and, edging the flip lid, is a beautiful flower design. The sizing is great and you get plenty of the lotion inside.

Moving onto the scent, it smells really lovely - very sweet and fruity. It contains acai and blueberry extracts. I really like how they've done this, because it smells gorgeous but, at the same time, it isn't too over-whelming.

The product itself amazing too. When you rub it into your skin, the pink beads burst and the lotion moisturizes your body. I'd really recommend that you give this product a try - it's so nice and leaves your skin feeling soft and smelling gorgeous.

View it on Superdrug here.

Have you tried any of the Zoella Beauty products?

January Favourites

It's February, already! Hopefully, you're all having a happy new year so far. As another month has gone, it's time to chat to you about my January Favourites. I've been enjoying quite a few things this time and I can't wait to talk you through some of them. How about you? What were you loving through January?

So the first thing that I'd like to mention is pink Vaseline. I've has this for a while now, but I've only just started using it regularly. I hadn't realized it would have such a lovely colour. It gives just as much coverage as other lip balms, leaving you with pink lips. It also it great for the colder weather as it cares for sore, chapped lips.

Next, is messy buns. Thanks so much for all of your lovely comments on my hairstyles post. I know some of you recommended a few of your favourite hairstyles and I think this was one of the hairstyles that was suggested. I did this style a lot through January. It's so quick and easy to do and it's fun to pull bits out and mess it up a bit.

A book this time, Ruby Redfort. A few years ago, I started reading this series and built up a collection of all the books. This new one ('Pick Your Poison') came out and I've been really enjoying reading it so far. When I was little, I loved Lauren Child's 'Charlie and Lola' so it's so nice to have a book aimed at an older audience by her. Ruby Redfort is a ordinary teenage girl, who is then recruited to join the secret spy agency, Spectrum. It's so cleverly written, with so many twists and plots that are all tied up together in the end.

What are your January favourites?
